Grape variety: 90% Nerello Mascalese, 10% Nerello Cappuccio, hand-harvested from pre-phylloxera vines over 120 years old

Soil: Volcanic, sandy, and rich in minerals
Vinification: Short maceration on the skins followed by temperature-controlled fermentation lasting about 10 days; completes malolactic fermentation
Yield per hectare: Extremely low, reflecting the age and rarity of the vines (approx. 3,700 bottles/year)
Harvest period: Early October
Aging: Aged for at least 14 months in 700-liter French oak tonneaux, followed by 1 month in stainless steel and about 20 months in bottle
Color: Deep ruby red with garnet highlights

Tasting notes: Complex aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is elegant, enveloping, and mineral, with fine tannins and a long, harmonious finish that fully expresses the volcanic terroir of Mount Etna.

Food pairings: Red meats, game, aged cheeses, and rich Mediterranean dishes.
